Men’s Treatments

Beauty Treatments aren’t just for women. Pretty much everything I offer is suitable for men. However here are a few specific treatments that are tailored for male clients. Having a manicure or pedicure is not getting your nails painted. The skin and nail health is assessed and cared for.

Traditional methods of hard skin removal have been dominated for centuries by ablative methods such as filing, blading and harsh granular exfoliants. These methods offer a short term solution.

The action of filing and buffing can send a message of trauma to the brain via neural pathways, therefore causing overproduction of skin cells which can lead to excessive hard skin and the formation of calluses.

Alkaline peeling offers a safer, more effective alternative. The active ingredients used in chemical peels change the pH of the skin, breaking down the protein bonds that bind together dead skin cells of the epidermis. When performed safely, calluses are effectively treated without stimulating a healing response that would lead to overproduction of the epidermis and hardened skin as seen with filing and blading.

This luxury facial for the feet is ideal for those with very dry cracked heels and callus removal.

The treatment consists of:

● Inspection of the feet and sanitisation. Accessing what areas are in need of peeling action.

● Callus tonic, removal of hard skin and a neutraliser to make sure the skin is rebalanced.

● Toenails cut, filed and buffed.

● Cuticle work.

● AHA exfoliant to peel, exfoliate and hydrate.

● Deep cleansing foot mask to detoxify, improve circulation and act as an anti-inflammatory. This in conjunction with heated booties and hand and arm massage.

● Anti-septic foot soak.

● Relaxing foot and leg massage with a nourishing foot balm, leaving the feet protected with a non-slip finish.

● Gold spritz to promote a luxurious finish with the Elim signature fragrance.

● Available with normal polish or Shellac gel polish, or simply without.

● Not tested on animals
